Director’s Statement

As a San Antonio native and the Visual Storyteller for Arboretum  San Antonio, this project holds deep personal meaning. Rooted In Legacy documents the transformation of a once-forgotten landscape into a living testament to community, culture, and environmental renewal.
The Arboretum stems from the visionary plan of former San Antonio Mayor and U.S. HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros—to create a world-class arboretum that reflects the spirit and diversity of our city. Working alongside the Sasaki design team and the Arboretum leadership, I set out to capture not only the planning of a space, but the birth of a legacy rooted in history, collaboration, and hope for generations to come.
